Wolfsburg enchants: winter wonderland with light and ice joys!
Winter has arrived in the Autostadt in Wolfsburg. From November 28th to January 4th, the region shines with lights and is transformed into a magical winter wonderland. Every day, exciting attractions ensure enthusiasm and a festive atmosphere for young and old. How News38 reports, visitors can look forward to an impressive outdoor ice rink that is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Ice skating, curling and even two carousels guarantee lots of fun for the whole family.
A mysterious light and sound show will captivate the audience in the evening as dusk falls. This spectacular performance, which was developed by Timo Klingebiel and the well-known lighting designer Christian Glatthor (Rocketchris), lasts about 1:15 minutes. The exact start time remains a well-kept secret to surprise visitors. Tens of thousands of fairy lights and an impressive 4,000 m² ice rink put the icing on the cake for the event.
Christmas department store and culinary delights
The new Christmas department store at the Porsche Pavilion is a must, especially for all shopping fans. There are over 10,000 items on 80 square meters of sales space, including festive Christmas baubles, nutcrackers and beautiful jewelry. Autostadt adds that the event also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. Winter drinks such as punch and mulled wine are a must.
Children can look forward to a huge snow playground where they can run around and play to their heart's content. A leisurely stroll with festive treats also invites you to linger. The winter experience is rounded off with a party atmosphere in the ice disco and the magic of the hut - the perfect opportunity to unwind.
Another highlight of the Christmas season
In the distance, in Lichtenberg, another magical winter world is presented: the “Forest – Winterlights” event organized by Dark Matter. Here, over 600 floating fir trees transform the transformer hall into a poetic winter forest. The installation combines space, sound and light in an impressive 45-minute cycle and amazes visitors. Visit Berlin describes the offer as a perfect fusion of danceable rhythms and meditative sounds, accompanied by winter specialties.
Overall, the region offers an enchanting package of experiences during Advent that appeals to all generations. Whether in Wolfsburg or Berlin – the winter festivities are a heavenly delight!
