The summer vacation is just around the corner and the high season in St. Peter-Ording begins. The famous North Sea village is still very popular despite increased prices. Tourism director Katharina Schirmbeck emphasizes the importance of July and August, which are of central importance for the region. After all, 915,642 overnight stays were already counted in St. Peter-Ording by June 22, 2023, even if this corresponds to a decline of 4.8 % compared to the previous year. A visit is still worthwhile, because the salty air has a positive effect on the airways and makes your stay on the beach particularly relaxing.

Despite the increased spa taxes and parking fees, the place continues to attract many people. According to Moin.de 2.7 million euros in income from the spa tax, which means one million euros more than in the previous year. In addition, 154,000 day guests came during this period. Even if this corresponds to a decline of 12.4 % compared to the previous year, the income from the daily taxes has increased by EUR 515,000 by 43.8 %.

Parking right on the beach is a very special experience in St. Peter-Ording. With over 1,250 beach chairs and one of the most beautiful beaches in Germany, the place attracts many visitors. The beach parking is particularly comfortable, where you can park directly on the sand. The parking fees for a car with a valid guest card are 8 euros a day, which is an attractive offer for many visitors. Nevertheless, in view of the high parking fees of up to 15 euros per day, the municipality also faces challenges. Around 31,353 cars have already brought in 370,000 euros since March this year.

In cooperation with the tourism center, which is responsible for rental inquiries and location information, the stay is made even more pleasant.
