XXXLutz supports clinic clowns with a donation of 1,000 euros for children and seniors, collected through the sale of bee honey.

In the past few days, XXXLutz not only brought joy among its employees, but also provided valuable support for patients in Würzburg. Thanks to a donation of 1,000 euros, the work of the Würzburger Klinikclowns Lachtränen e.V. is supported. This sum came about through the sale of honey that comes from our own beekeeping at the company headquarters in Würzburg. The beekeeping initiative was launched by Martin Kohlhepp, area manager for logistics, and his team assistant Gabriele Leibold. Kohlhepp emphasizes the importance of a suitable habitat for honey bees and the preservation of biodiversity.
Since XXXLutz's German headquarters opened in 2019, seven bee colonies have settled at the company's headquarters in Würzburg. The employees had the opportunity to purchase the tasty honey for a donation, which will now benefit the clinic clowns. These clowns are not only active in the children's hospital; With their colorful costumes and red noses, they bring joy and lightness into many people's lives.
A smile for sick people
The clinic clowns have been committed to making sick people laugh for 27 years. Their goal is to strengthen the immune system, relieve pain and promote the healing process through humorous visits. Whether in the Aschau Orthopedic Children's Clinic or during visits to old people's homes and retirement homes - the effect of clowns is undisputed. They regularly visit various facilities and bring joy to children, seniors, people with disabilities and seriously ill patients. Their performances are characterized by humor and loving togetherness.
On April 28, 2025, a video report about the work of the clinic clowns was broadcast on the Bayerischer Rundfunk evening show, highlighting the great operations and the positive response from patients. The organization is grateful for the dedication of its clown professionals who work tirelessly to bring smiles.
