Motocross fever in Karlshof: 250 riders race across the Wagria Ring!

Next weekend, the Wagria Ring in Karlshof will once again be the scene of thrilling motocross races. Organized by MC Malente, around 250 riders, including five female riders from our own ranks, will compete against each other in a total of nine classes. The participants come from Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and bring with them an impressive range of talents.

The local hero, Davide von Zitzewitz, who is also active in the German Enduro Championship, will demonstrate his skills in this exciting atmosphere. Speeds of up to 100 km/h in the MX1 and MX2 classes promise thrills for spectators. With age groups ranging from the very young of 8 to seniors over 50, there is something for everyone.

Training and racing times

There is a mandatory appointment on Saturday at 8 a.m. when training begins for all participants. The races themselves start on Saturday at 11.10 a.m. and on Sunday at 11 a.m. Given the popularity of the event last year, when around 1,000 people attended the race, additional parking spaces will be provided to accommodate the rush.

Entrance fees and venue

The admission prices are family-friendly: adults pay 6 euros, children 4 euros and little ones up to the age of 10 can even get in free of charge. The whole family can spend an exciting day at the BvZ Offroad Park in Karlshof.

While the drivers prepare for the races, anyone interested can also find out more about the BvZ's modernly equipped workshop. This offers comprehensive services relating to motocross and motorcycles, from TÜV approvals to repairs and inspections. A replacement vehicle can even be provided for 10 euros per day, perfect for those who travel in a group and want to drive on the safe side. More information can be found directly on the BvZ website here.

The 2025 motocross season is still in its infancy, with many more events on the calendar. Upcoming championships such as in Grenzland on June 21st and 22nd and in Bielstein on June 28th and 29th are just a few highlights of the season.
