Travemünde, Deutschland - It starts in a few days! The "Travemünder Woche" is just around the corner and is waiting to celebrate its 136th edition from July 18 to 27, 2025. Lübeck Mayor Jan Lindenau will be heralded the opening ceremony on July 18 at 6:00 p.m., followed by Prime Minister Daniel Günther, who will give the start signal for the first race of the long-distance regatta around Fehmarn. Almost 800 sailors and hundreds of thousands of visitors are expected this year. A real festival for young and old!

The Travemünder Week offers an extremely exciting program. Three international championships and five German title fights are on the note. One of the highlights is the Volksbank Rotspon Cup, in which the mayor of Lübeck from Dr. Ulf fighters are challenged. In addition, an SUP race in Lübeck will be held for the first time, which will certainly trigger additional enthusiasm among water and sports enthusiasts. The regatta program ranges from July 18 to 26 with various championships such as the World Cup and EM TopCat K1 and attracts the best sailors.

But the Travemünder Week goes beyond sailing. Local artists are presented in the glass cruise terminal at the East Prussian Kai: inside Maritime Art. This will revolve around topics such as sea, ships, beach, wind and sailing. Daily, free workshops and numerous program highlights offer a variety of activities for all ages. The regatta and festival offers had to be adapted due to minor revenue, but the commitment to an environmentally friendly event remains unbroken.
