Big charity event: celebrating 70 years of the Neumünster Child Protection Association!
On October 30, 2025, in the current issue of the evening magazine “What’s going on here?”, great events are coming up that will enrich the cultural and sports landscape in Neumünster. Studio guest Dirk Wende from the Neumünster Child Protection Association provides exciting insights into the upcoming celebrations for the institution's 70th anniversary. In the conversation it becomes clear how much passion is put into the preparations for the big charity event on November 8th in the Holstenhallen. This event promises to be a highlight for all supporters of the Child Protection Association.
Particularly noteworthy: The moderators Simon and Dirk have none other than actor Nick Wilder on the phone, who is currently in South Tyrol. Nick Wilder and his wife Christine Mayn will lead the charity campaign in the Holstenhallen and should therefore provide a glamorous setting. So far, numerous valuable and curious exhibits have been received for the auction, which includes, among other things, a book signed by Michael Schumacher, a picture by Udo Lindenberg and an original drawing of the Ottifanten by Otto Waalkes. Two signed exhibits by Peter Maffay and a harmonica signed by Nick Wilder will also be auctioned off to support a good cause.
The main act: charity auction
The charity auction on November 8th features auctioneers that every viewer knows from television: Wolfgang Pauritsch and Fabian Kahl, known from the show “Bares für Rares”. Dirk Wende emphasizes the intellectual value of these exhibits and emphasizes that all proceeds benefit the projects of the Neumünster Child Protection Association. Further donations such as jewelry, watches or other curiosities are still welcome to further enhance the auction. A pop-up store in Neumünster will also offer non-auctioned items, so no one goes away empty-handed.
Peter, another editorial colleague, brings in fresh event tips for the region and mentions, among other things, the premiere of a new song by LatinaKatze, a resident of Hamburg. This shows how lively the cultural scene is here and how diverse the offerings are. We cordially invite all readers to send us their event tips - whether by email to wasistdennhierlos@freisradio-nms.de or to widhl@freisradio-nms.de. Together we can continue to revitalize cultural life in Neumünster!
