Two-day Haldenfest: Music & Meditation in Neukirchen-Vluyn!
The anticipation in Neukirchen-Vluyn is increasing because next weekend, June 21st and 22nd, the city is hosting a two-day dump festival at the Northern Germany dump. This event, which celebrates the creative diversity of the region, promises a colorful program under the theme “Music meets Meditation”. On Saturday evening at 7 p.m. the Ensemble Noisten will take the stage and open the evening musically. Afterwards, visitors can look forward to a guided evening meditation with DirkSchauberg, which will create a relaxing atmosphere. This brings the feeling of community and harmony to life.
Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. is all about “music, culture and historic fire engines.” Several highlights are planned for musical entertainment here. First, the Eike Elektrik Ensemble will play from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by unplugged folklore live music between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., before the Downbeatclub will conclude the event from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. After these musical performances, visitors will also have the opportunity to admire historic blue light vehicles - a real treat for fans of historic technology.
A feast for all senses
The festival is rounded off with a culinary offering that also reflects the international roots of the region. Snacks from Ukraine and Africa are provided so that the palate gets its money's worth. If the weather is unpleasant, the Haldenfest will be moved to the Schirrhof in Kamp-Lintfort, which shows the flexible plans of the organizers.
The event is organized by the Kulturprojekte Niederrhein association in cooperation with Awo and other partners. This highlights the intercultural exchange and community behind the festivities. A look at the Kulturprojekte Niederrhein website provides detailed information about this promising event. Admission is free, but donations are very welcome - everyone can make their contribution to cultural life here.
Musical diversity in the region
The Haldenfest is not just an individual event, but part of a larger initiative that celebrates the region's musical heritage and diversity. As part of the Halden concerts, international and local talents will once again be presenting themselves this year, delighting visitors with both classical and contemporary music. The Halden concerts take place in an inspiring environment and promote exchange between different musical styles and cultures. What is particularly worth mentioning is the inclusive approach, which brings together not only the audience but also musicians from different backgrounds - for example Nawab Khan, who works with other Indian musicians.
In addition, the Lower Rhine Music Festival promotes musical dialogue through its Classica series, which has presented no fewer than 18 different countries and their musical traditions since 2007. Anette Maiburg and her ensemble have set themselves the goal of breaking new ground in music and making the richness of international sounds tangible. The numerous workshops and concert projects offered as part of the festival are aimed at young and old and strengthen cultural exchange in the region.
In difficult times, the art of music is a comfort and a connection that brings people together. So let yourself be carried away in Neukirchen-Vluyn next weekend and enjoy a varied festival with music, meditation and many other highlights!
