Shortage of doctors in the North and Baltic Seas: Hundreds of treatment errors discovered!
Health care in Schleswig-Holstein has recently had to overcome massive challenges. Medical care is repeatedly criticized, particularly in the coastal areas on the Baltic Sea and North Sea. As the Moin.de reported, hundreds of treatment errors have now been documented in the region. The Northern Medical Service prepared 910 reports on these errors on behalf of the health insurance companies. What is shocking is that in 214 cases the errors led to damage to health. This corresponds to almost a quarter of the cases examined.
Compared to the previous year, the proportion of reported treatment errors is almost stable at 25.4%. This clearly shows that health care in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg is anything but stable. Doctors and pharmacies are struggling under difficult conditions, which poses risks for many patients that they cannot ignore.
The reactions of the residents
Residents express their dissatisfaction with the situation on social networks and urgently demand improvements. Many of those affected report their bad experiences with treatment errors. But that's not all: it also points to an alarming number of unreported errors. The pressure on healthcare providers is growing as more calls for greater transparency and insight are heard. These requirements are intended to help prevent future problems.
The situation should not only be viewed locally, but is seen as a systemic problem. The medical infrastructure urgently needs to be overhauled in order to regain the population's trust in healthcare.
Technical difficulties in other areas
The initial suspicion was that the problems came from the company's own certificates, but support made it clear that the cause was Caixa's servers. This is currently being worked on, but a quick solution is still pending.
