Werder Bremen U17 storms to the top of the table – U15 wins against HSV!

An exciting weekend for the WERDERWOMEN’s offspring! Despite the short-notice cancellation of the 2nd women's game, the younger ones showed what they were made of and made the fans' hearts beat faster. The U17 secured top spot in the Regionalliga Nord with a 2-1 win against SV Meppen, bringing a breath of fresh air into the proceedings.

On Saturday the eagerly awaited duel took place: Werder Bremen against SV Meppen. The Bremen team started cautiously, but quickly took command and dominated the game. The goals were scored by Catelyn Zimmermann (34th minute) and Matilda Schütte (40th minute) after Maja Rakers took advantage of Meppen's chance to equalize. After half-time, Werder's defense remained stable and didn't allow Meppen to score another goal, which ultimately brought in three important points.

U15 triumph against Hamburger SV

But that wasn't everything! The U15 team played in a friendly against Hamburger SV on the same weekend and impressed the spectators with a 2-0 win. Werder took the lead in the first minute and secured the result with another goal in the 53rd minute. The test run before the actual game-free period showed that the players are in good shape and ready for the challenges ahead.
