A light for those in need
Especially during Advent and Christmas, which should stand for charity and togetherness, it is particularly challenging for people affected by poverty. According to one report At Diakonie Hamburg, people in precarious living conditions often have increased worries during the holidays. Homeless people are struggling to survive in the cold, and many who rely on food banks have little opportunity to give gifts or get enough food. Here the Christmas campaign “Love in Bows” sends an important signal of solidarity and warmth.
Each of us can do our part to help those who are having a particularly difficult time during this time. Be it through donations, volunteer work or participation in the campaign itself - every move counts and brings a little more light into the dark season. So if you don't yet know how to get active, you have the opportunity on December 24th to make a valuable contribution and bring a little joy to the people of Hamburg.
