The opening was originally scheduled for October 24th. However, due to storm “Joshua”, which swept through the city with wind speeds of up to 70 km/h, this start was postponed by a day. The anticipation for the largest open-air ice rink in Europe is still huge!
With an impressive ice surface of 4,300 square meters, the ice arena offers a dazzling place for young and old. Every year around 100,000 visitors flock to the rink, many of them are real regulars. Whether for ice skating with friends or a romantic evening under the stars - the special atmosphere, especially in the evening with the atmospheric lighting, magically attracts Hamburg residents and guests from the surrounding area. And a large catering area caters for a small hunger in between meals.
Opening times and events
The ice rink is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the exception of Tuesday, when the rink closes at 8 p.m. On this day, the family dimension is particularly important. There is a family day, “Ladies Night”, “Club Night” and even free ice skating lessons. The offering is varied and appeals to all age groups, from beginners to passionate ice skaters.
