Title: Germany's motorsport athletes celebrate triumph: European Championship against France!
In Budel, the charming town in the Netherlands, the German Motoball national teams celebrated a magnificent triumph. On July 14, 2025, both the men and the juniors became European champions! The teams prevailed against the French teams in thrilling finals, which made the hearts of over 1,000 enthusiastic spectators beat faster. [Uckermark Kurier].
But how did this successful journey begin? In the preliminary round, Germany came up trumps with remarkable performances. The juniors won their three games without conceding a goal: 13-0 against the Netherlands, 4-0 against France and 9-0 against Lithuania. The players Tim Amseln and Finn Schmidt in particular showed a great game and made a decisive contribution to the clear victories. Motoball.de highlights that France initially turned their backs on the German team in both finals and led with a 4-3 lead in both games before Germany was able to turn things around.
The key moments
The tension didn't let up. In the junior final, Tim Amseln and Finn Schmidt scored the first goals and quickly gave Germany a 2-0 lead. France reacted and shortened, but the German team was undeterred. Niclas Pütz's goal and another goal from Finn Schmidt made it 4-2 before France scored another goal, but not enough to turn the game around.
The men's team experienced a similarly exciting final. After a thrilling duel and a temporary deficit of 4:3, the German team managed to secure victory with a 5:4. This was the first title win for the men since 2015, after third place last year at the European Championships in France.
Community support
The German team received special support from Mayor André Werner and MSC Chairman Roger Nast, who cheered hard on site. Two players from the Jarmen motorsport club, Cody Dwars and Lennox Hoppe, remained on the pitch throughout the entire final and were valued by national coach Christian Beer as indispensable performers.
The tournament, which took place from July 9th to 13th, was a spectacular event with excellent organization by MBV Budel. All motorcycles were checked under strict requirements regarding volume and weight. The French youth team also competed with innovative electric motorcycles, which made the exciting competition even more interesting. DMSB has already announced the next challenges, in which the German motoball players are highly motivated and hoping for further success.
Overall, the German teams can look back on a successful European Championship. A major goal of bringing the title back to Germany after ten years was more than fulfilled. A reason to celebrate and plan for a triumph on home soil!
