A serious accident caused great excitement on Saturday evening, November 8th, on Autobahn 20 between Anklam and Jarmen. Due to poor visibility due to thick fog, a 46-year-old driver was apparently traveling too fast and recognized a truck in front of her too late. The motorway had to be completely closed in the direction of Lübeck for around four hours while a large number of rescue workers rushed to the scene of the accident. A total of three ambulances, three emergency doctors and two fire departments were deployed to treat the injured people and secure the scene of the accident. A specialist company was later busy cleaning the road to remove the debris and leaking operating materials, which was necessary over a length of 300 meters.
