Burglary in Stralsund: Unusual clean-up operation by the perpetrator!

A bizarre incident shakes the tranquil garden landscape in Stralsund. On October 1, 2025, there was a break-in in a garden arbor on Prohner Street, which not only called the police to the scene, but also woke up a sleeping arbor owner. He was woken up in the early hours of the morning, around 5:00 a.m., by the intruder who gained access via a locked garden gate.

During the investigation it emerged that the 35-year-old German, who had not reported back from the Stralsund correctional facility in time, is now facing suspicion of attempted theft and damage to property. The police took him straight back to the correctional facility, where it was apparently not the first time he was noticed as a troublemaker. news.de reports that an urgent investigation was initiated against the man.

More break-ins in the area

But it's not just this slump that's causing excitement in the region. Between August 15th and September 27th, 2025, another break-in into a gazebo in the Grünthal allotment garden association was also reported. A 39-year-old garden owner was relieved of various garden equipment, camping accessories, clothing and tools with a total value of around 840 euros. Interestingly, the unknown perpetrator left the arbor in better condition than he found it: the items were not only tidied up, but even decoratively redesigned, which raises questions about the perpetrator's motivation.

The criminal police have started investigations into this break-in for theft, property damage and trespassing in order to further shed light on the strange circumstances. Bild.de reports about the strange events that give garden life in Stralsund an unexpected turn.
