Mainz honors the best projects for healthy coexistence!

On October 29, 2025, Mainz will be the venue for a special award: the Rhineland-Palatinate state winners of the DAK competition “Faces for a Healthy Togetherness” will be honored. The award ceremony will take place at 12:30 p.m. in Aktive Lebenswelten / Feel Fit at Mombacher Straße 66 and will be conducted by Family Minister Katharina Binz and DAK regional director Rainer Lange. This is a fitting celebration of the event, which has already taken place for the fifth time and which attracted around 500 nationwide entries this year.

The DAK competition has set itself the task of highlighting creative initiatives that are particularly concerned with health, prevention and care. This year, projects from Worms, Bitburg and Mayen are being honored that not only present innovative approaches to social health promotion, but also offer sustainable care structures. The commitment to a solidarity and healthy coexistence is clearly in the foreground. As regionalupdate.de reports, the competition aims to make solution-oriented action visible and to strengthen a sense of community.

Special prizes and recognition for caring relatives

This year the competition will be supplemented by the introduction of a special prize for caring relatives. This shows the growing appreciation for people who often tirelessly care for the well-being of their loved ones and represent an important support in our society. A jury, which itself consists of different sectors of society, highlights the importance of hope in these initiatives, which further underlines the relevance of the topic. The focus is on making solutions to social problems visible, which strengthens the participating projects and their importance for the community, as the DAK explains in its information: dak.de.

At a time when the challenges surrounding health and care are omnipresent, it is important to support projects that put people at the center. The competition creates a platform to make these positive approaches and the people behind them visible. Initiatives that work with passion to improve coexistence are more in demand than ever and are attracting attention.

So we can look forward to the outstanding achievements that will be recognized on Wednesday. Mainz will not only be a place for awards, but also a center for innovative ideas and approaches that promote healthy coexistence. In times when social interaction is constantly challenged, such competition is a clear sign of progress and solidarity.
