On November 11th, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. a serious traffic accident occurred on Ladebower Chaussee in Greifswald. A 57-year-old German woman was driving her Audi A3 towards Stralsunder Straße when the vehicle left the road for unknown reasons. The Audi collided with an oncoming, loaded truck. The impact was so strong that the Audi was pushed back and collided with a VW behind it.

The result of the accident is regrettable. The 48-year-old truck driver, the person who caused the accident and the 59-year-old passenger of the Audi suffered minor injuries. After the collision, the truck slipped into a ditch, which resulted in the accident site being completely closed for several hours. The material damage amounts to around 100,000 euros. The police have initiated an investigation against the person who caused the accident for negligent bodily harm. Our region remains a bitter aftertaste, especially for those affected and their families.
