Something is happening in the area of dance and movement in Greifswald! On September 21, 2025, the new dance studio “Tanzwelt” opened on the upper floor of the Cathedral Center. With this step, the operators, Lisa-Marie Schult and Felix-Leopold Fischer, show that they have a good knack for creative sports offerings. Lisa-Marie brings with her extensive experience in ballet teaching, which she successfully gained at Baltic Sea Dance, where she has already taught 120 children.
The newly founded association “Tanzwelt Greifswald” in July uses the former rooms of the Dance Academy and moves into new dimensions with 1050 square meters. Here, members not only have access to dance halls, but also fitness rooms and a comfortable lounge area with a bar. The offering is diverse and includes ballet, contemporary dance, hip hop, Tango Argentino as well as children's gymnastics, Tai Chi, Kung Fu and self-defense. Particularly exciting: “Tanzwelt” works with a Shaolin master for Kung Fu.
An offer for all age groups
The Tanzclub Greifswald e.V. also has over 20 years of experience in the region and offers regular dance gala events that have a long tradition. The next gala took place on December 18, 2016, but more will certainly follow soon in the multi-purpose hall in Greifswald, perhaps even joint events with the new club. The wide range of activities ranges from parent-child gymnastics for the little ones to senior dance groups that are tailored to the special needs of older dancers. These offers score points with an adapted tempo and music, so that anyone who enjoys dancing can take part.
“Tanzwelt” also has fitness offers in mind for the older generation, which many health insurance companies even reimburse. The courses are designed to appeal to all age groups, without any prior knowledge or tournament experience. All you need here is joy in movement and two willing feet!

With 16 trainers already on board, the “Tanzwelt” team is well positioned. The membership fees are moderate because the club wants to appeal to people of all ages who enjoy dance and movement.
