A19 Laage: full closure from Monday! Pay attention to detours!

Watch out, drivers! If you're traveling in the Rostock area, there will soon be some important traffic changes that you should keep an eye on. The A19 Laage junction in Kritzkow will be completely closed from Monday, June 16, 2025, from 8 a.m. to Tuesday, June 17, 2025, probably at 6 p.m. The reason for this full closure is absolutely necessary asphalt work as part of maintenance measures on the motorway. This applies to both the ascent and descent in the north direction, as shown Uckermark courier reported.

The diversion takes place via the neighboring junctions Glasewitz and Kavelstorf. The detour routes in the region are signposted accordingly so that the detours can be easily understood. It is advisable to take this information into account in advance as the traffic restrictions could take some time. Traffic will be significantly affected by these measures and patience is required.

Remaining work on the new bridge

But that's not all! There are already further restrictions on the Laage access and exit routes this week. Due to remaining work on the new bridge over the A19, there will also be a closure in the direction of Rostock on Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. On Thursday the same applies to the direction of Berlin at the same time. These additional measures indicate that work on the infrastructure is being pushed forward intensively NDR reported.

So take a little more time for your journeys during this time and possibly replan your routes. Familiarize yourself with what's happening on the streets. If you're out and about in the next few days, you can use the practical maps from ADAC Maps help detect real-time traffic flow and short-term disruptions. They offer great options for route planning and information about planned construction sites or even weather warnings along the way.

Carrying out this work is part of larger maintenance measures that are necessary to keep the traffic routes in good condition in the long term and to ensure the safety of drivers. It will be interesting to see how the diversions and bypasses are received by road users. We wish everyone a safe and stress-free journey in the coming days!
