Officers used pitchforks to search through a pile of dung, but the exact objectives of their investigation remain unclear. Particularly irritating was an incorrect press release from the public prosecutor's office, which gave incorrect information about the location of the measures. Zehna was already connected to the case as search operations took place here after Fabian's disappearance. The dog that was used to search for tracks found a track, but it got lost in the nearby forest.

The deficiencies in the investigative work are also reflected in the grief of the relatives. Fabian's father lives nearby and it is assumed that Fabian might have wanted to go to him. Despite the serious allegations against the police, the family remains strong in their hope for clarification. It is a hard journey that requires patience and perseverance.
