New search in the Fabian murder case: Police remain without new evidence!
There is still no relief in the case of the tragic disappearance of eight-year-old Fabian from Güstrow. The elementary school student disappeared from his apartment on October 10, 2025. Four days later, his body was found near a small body of water near Klein Upahl after 30-year-old Gina H., who acted as Fabian's foster mother for over four years, alerted the police to the location. This is about 15 kilometers from where she lives, which raises additional questions and intensifies the investigation.
On November 6, 2025, the public prosecutor's office issued an arrest warrant against Gina H. on strong suspicion of murder, which was confirmed by the Rostock district court. The suspected woman has been in custody ever since. It was only today, December 6, 2025, that the police searched the site again, but the search for evidence remained fruitless. Around 25 investigators from the Rostock criminal police, the riot police and technical units were involved in the operation and used metal detectors and brush cutters to thoroughly comb the meadow around the site.
Further investigations and the state of affairs
The public prosecutor's office was cautious about providing further details about the circumstances of the murder and the identity of the suspects. However, it is believed that Fabian lost his life on the day he disappeared. His death caused consternation and horror in the region. Media reports about possible connections between Gina H. and Fabian's father are being discussed, but not officially confirmed by investigators.
Meanwhile, the Rostock district court decided that the strong suspicion against Gina H. still exists and refused to release the suspect from custody. Your defense attorney plans to appeal this decision to the district court. In his opinion, the evidence to date is not sufficient to continue to keep the woman in custody, although the judiciary considers this to be insufficient.
The investigation into this terrible case continues and the public hopes for clarification. At a time when many questions remain unanswered, the pressure on the responsible authorities remains high to provide clarity about the terrible events surrounding Fabian's fate.
