After a cold start to the week: improvement in the weather for MV!
Tuesday continued to show its gloomy side in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania after the region was surprised by a surprising onset of winter with a fine blanket of snow on Monday. It remains mostly gray throughout the day and the temperatures only climb with difficulty to around three degrees. The sky often offers a dense carpet of clouds, and occasionally there can even be individual rain showers, as nordkurier.de reports.
The weather situation is dominated by low “Ulf”, which causes changeable weather. Some precipitation, some even in the form of unsuspecting snow, is possible in the afternoon. The maximum values are between 1 and 5 degrees, and towards the evening the temperatures drop noticeably again. At night we can expect a rather quiet phase with often only light clouds, while fog slowly settles over the landscape. For this purpose, ndr.de predicts lows of +4 to -1 degrees and local smoothness.
Prospects for the coming days
What's it looking like for Wednesday? Dense clouds and a few excursions from the sun are forecast. This will be accompanied by numerous rain showers, especially in Western Pomerania, while other areas will remain mostly dry. The temperature reaches between 3 and 6 degrees during the day, and the weather situation remains similar on Thursday: clouds dominate and bring occasional light rain. Highs of 2 to 5 degrees are expected. The winds are weak to moderate, but it can get uncomfortably fresh on the coast, according to dwd.de.
It remains cold at night with lows of around 2 to -2 degrees and there is once again a risk of slippery conditions due to residual moisture freezing over. Regionally, some snow grit in the coastal area cannot be ruled out.
Exposure to weather conditions
It will be frosty, especially in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday, with temperatures down to -1 degrees. Drivers and pedestrians should be prepared for slippery roads and sidewalks, which can be dangerous in places due to residual moisture.
The forecasts for Friday then speak of a lot of clouds and partly light to moderate rain, which will reach our northern Germany from the northwest. Temperatures will remain constant between 3 and 6 degrees and the wind will be fresh and gusty throughout the day, especially on the coasts.
