Neubrandenburg Employment Agency: Advice now only by appointment!

The employment agencies in the Mecklenburg Lake District have changed their advice modalities. From now on, personal advice is only possible by making an appointment in advance. This affects all branches in the district in order to optimize the process for those seeking help. Advice without an appointment can only be used in urgent emergencies or to comply with legal deadlines, such as when registering for unemployment. The exception is the main agency in Neubrandenburg, where advice without an appointment is possible during the specified opening hours.

The opening hours at the Neubrandenburg main agency are as follows:

  • Montag: 8:00 – 12:00 Uhr
  • Dienstag: 8:00 – 12:00 Uhr und 13:00 – 18:00 Uhr
  • Donnerstag: 8:00 – 12:00 Uhr
  • Freitag: 8:00 – 12:30 Uhr

The address is Ponyweg 37-43, 17034 Neubrandenburg. To book an appointment, interested individuals can visit the agency's website and at www.arbeitsagentur.de/vor-ort/neubrandenburg Select the item “Book desired appointment online”.

Digital services on the rise

With the new regulation, the employment agency is taking a step towards digitalization. The agency plans to further promote the online use of applications and appointments. Loud Northern Courier The aim is for 99 percent of consultations to take place by appointment by the end of the year.

Currently, almost 75 percent of all applications for unemployment benefits are already submitted online. The acceptance of these digital solutions is growing: around 70 administrative services can now be carried out online. This not only saves the applicants' nerves, but also reduces the effort and distances, which are often long, especially in rural areas.

BundID as a digital solution

An important component for the further digitalization of services is the introduction of the BundID. From July 22, 2024, citizens can submit their digital applications to the Federal Employment Agency using the BundID. This makes the use of digital services much easier and reduces the bureaucratic effort for registrations. Over BMAS explains how the BundID works and how users can manage their personal data securely. Authentication is carried out conveniently using the electronic ID card.

Now it remains to be seen how well the new regulations will be accepted in practice. The aim of simplifying access to services while reducing journeys and waiting times could be a relief for many employees and job seekers.
