Demminer Straße in Neubrandenburg turned out to be the most dangerous street in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 2024. According to Nordkurier, 15 accidents occurred there, seven of which resulted in serious injuries. These alarming figures come from an accident study by Allianz Direct, which evaluated the official data from the statistical offices for the entire year. What is particularly striking is that Demminer Straße has the most injuries despite having the same number of accidents as Hamburger Straße and Rövershäger Chaussee in Rostock.

In the year of the evaluation, Demminer Straße recorded several serious incidents. This included a collision involving an Audi at the beginning of the year, which at first glance seemed like a harmless accident, but which affected several vehicles. Another serious incident occurred in February when an ambulance collided with a car - the damage amounted to around 160,000 euros. In August, a cyclist was seriously injured, which once again highlights the danger.

Ranking of the most dangerous roads

Woldegker Straße in Neubrandenburg ranks fifth with a total of 14 accidents, although one serious injury was also reported here. Neustrelitzer Straße can't be denied the opportunity to take seventh place in the ranking, with a total of twelve accidents and three seriously injured people.
