He was only recently released after a day in custody because a judge refused to continue his detention. But suspicion against him remains because the criminal police assume it was a homicide. Rebecca has been missing since February 18th and the investigation revealed that the facts and the brother-in-law's statements contradict each other.
The desperate search for the girl, who was last seen in the apartment of her sister and her husband, remains unsuccessful. By Monday morning, the police had already received 180 tips while the homicide squad took over the investigation.
