Rostock police are desperately looking for missing girls!

There is currently a worrying disappearance of two girls in Rostock that is raising alarm. The police are looking for 12-year-old Kim Werner and 13-year-old Asta Petersen, who have been missing for over a week. The two girls have not been seen since Thursday, December 18, 2025. The last known sighting took place in downtown Rostock. Due to the lack of success in the search measures so far, the authorities are now urgently dependent on the public's help.

Kim Werner is described as 170 cm tall and slim. She has long red hair and brown eyes. When she disappeared, she was wearing light blue baggy jeans, a light yellow hoodie, a black jacket and brown and white sneakers with burgundy lining. Her friend Asta Petersen is 160 cm tall, has shoulder-length brown hair and is described as petite. She was wearing a white jacket, jeans and black shoes and was carrying a gray neck bag or small bag.

Uncertainties and search appeal

The police reported that the two girls' whereabouts are unknown after their disappearance and that no clue to their whereabouts has yet been found. This is particularly worrying as the number of missing children in Germany is steadily increasing. According to Spiegel, over 1,800 children are currently registered as missing in Germany, which puts Kim and Asta's situation in a sometimes worrying context.

The Rostock police are asking for information and reports that could lead to finding the two girls. Information should be given to the criminal investigation service in Rostock on 0381 4916-1616 or to any other police station. The situation remains unbearable for the families and friends of Kim and Asta, while the authorities are tirelessly and transparently pursuing the investigation.

There is great concern for the two girls and the hope remains that they can be returned quickly and unharmed. Every clue counts; The community in Rostock is now called upon to work together to find Kim and Asta and bring them home safely. Please help!
