Art for everyone: Start telephone tours of the Kunsthalle Rostock!

Rostock, Deutschland - The Kunsthalle Rostock has come up with an exciting initiative that could be a real ray of hope for many: from July 7, 2025, telephone guides will be offered as part of "Calling". The aim is to facilitate access to culture for people who are often in front of closed doors due to disabilities, place of residence or mobility. This remarkable measure also benefits people who feel uncomfortable in groups or cannot afford a visit. If you are interested, you can register at www.beianrufkultur.de - the whole thing is free of charge!

The first telephone tour takes place on July 7, 2025 at 4 p.m. and is entitled "Usedomer Lichter - The Artist Island on the Baltic Sea". An employee of the art mediation will lead the participants through the exhibition, while they take part in the event comfortably from home. It will be informative and entertaining for an hour, and although the speech function is deactivated during the leadership, questions and exchange can be incorporated spontaneously.

diverse offers in the Kunsthalle

The Kunsthalle Rostock, a contemporary and modern museum, has more in the flash. From March 30 to November 16, 2025, the collection exhibition "Usedomer Lichter" will take place, which shows the works of talented Usedom artists. In addition, from May 10th to September 7th, 2025 there will be the exhibition "Round & angular - sometimes dirty", which on the occasion of 60 years F.C. Hansa Rostock is presented. Even younger talents are not neglected: at the event "Students put on" can be admired from June 20 to July 2025.

For music lovers there will be a jazz concert with Emma Rawicz as part of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival on June 20. The opening times of the Kunsthalle are from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., it remains closed on Mondays. In addition, those responsible for the Kunsthalle are happy about the tender for the Rostock Art Prize 2025, which is awarded by the Kulturstiftung Rostock e.V., the Hanse and University City of Rostock and the Kunsthalle itself. This price is supported by the Versicherung Provinzial Nord.

a step towards inclusion

With the new telephone tours, the Kunsthalle makes a valuable contribution to inclusion in society. Art is there for everyone, and the possibilities of offering the consultation hour show that everyone should have the chance to discover cultural treasures, regardless of personal hurdles. An initiative that should be supported and whose hearing is probably also received by many shows how important it is to reduce barriers and make cultural experiences accessible to a wider audience.
