On Saturday, August 2, 2025, a very special event will take place in the Schwerin Zoo: the event "Zookulture", which should attract animal lovers and film fans alike. The evening begins at 7:30 p.m. with a fascinating open-air exhibition by the Nikon Comedy Wildlife Awards, which presents animal photographs of the past ten years. Visitors have the opportunity to watch the unique zoo residents in the romantic evening light-an experience that should not be missed.

But that's just the beginning! Another Highlight is offered from 9:45 p.m.: The Schwerin Zoo introduces its popular open-air cinema, which is very popular this seasonal series. The film "Bambi - a life story from the forest" (2024) is shown with a term of 78 minutes and the sensitive voice of Senta Berger. The romantic pond landscape of the zoo forms the perfect backdrop for this film screening. Visitors are invited to bring their own blankets, pillows or folding chairs with you in order to settle down comfortably outdoors. There are also some seating on site for all those who appreciate spontaneous decisions.
