A “Shut up, Rapunzel” comedy event is coming up at the Stralsund Blechwerk! On Friday, October 10th, the well-known comic artist and cartoonist Piero Masztal ore Inspire his audience with a humorous program. The artist, whose works, including the popular “Breakfast at Stefanie's” comics, have won numerous awards, will put his very own view of things in the spotlight at 8 p.m.
Piero Masztalerz was born on September 17, 1970 in Lübeck and has a varied career behind him. After abandoning his apprenticeship as a printmaker, he worked as a taxi driver and insurance agent, among other things, until he discovered his passion for drawing comics in 1991. Since then he has been active for renowned publications such as the satirical magazine Eulenspiegel and the Lübecker Nachrichten. His works often deal with themes such as sex, violence and religion and are known for their sharp humor.
Versatile music night at Blechwerk
The Stralsund Blechwerk not only offers comedy, but also an exciting musical range. On Saturday there will be a double concert with the Berlin ska band Sheet metal stimulus and the talented reggae and nu-soul singer Zoe Mazzah. The band Blechreiz, active since 1983, will create a dynamic atmosphere with energetic cover songs. Zoe Mazzah will also captivate the audience with her thoughtful yet danceable melodies. Here too, the concert starts at 8 p.m.
Sunday promises pure family entertainment when the band Two of a kind occurs. These musical twins bring hip-hop to the stage for children ages four to eight. Their previous tours in Africa, Asia and Europe show that they can appeal to a large audience. The family concert is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
A variety of activities for students
On Monday, a band music workshop will be offered at the Blechwerk specifically for students in grades eight to twelve. This event is carried out as part of French lessons and includes a subsequent school concert. This initiative has received positive feedback from Stralsund students in the past and offers a great opportunity to experience music up close.
