Defeat for Hansa Rostock: U23 remains winless after 0:4 against Viktoria!
The U23 of F.C. Hansa Rostock simply cannot get out of the negative spiral. There was also a bitter defeat in the most recent duel against Viktoria Berlin: the final result on December 1, 2025 was 2:4. This continues the misery for the Rostock team, who have been waiting for a win for five games. The game started very poorly from the hosts' point of view. After just two minutes, a free kick ensured that Viktoria took the lead and thus laid the foundation for this clear success.
As the first half progressed, Berlin's offensive really blossomed. Oglou increased the score to 0-2 in the 23rd minute and left the Rostock fans little room for hope. Tchadjei also had a great day and added in the 33rd and 36th minutes, which increased the score to 0:4. Only in the second half could the Hanseatic League celebrate: Luca Stoldt scored the 1:4 in the 52nd minute. A certain relief also came with Berlin's own goal in the 80th minute, which corrected the final score to 2:4. This defeat drops Hansa Rostock to eighth place in the NOFV-Oberliga, a league that has been considered the “fifth league” in German football since 2008.
The other junior teams are under pressure
But it's not just the U23s that have their difficulties. The U19s also had no luck in their meeting with Viktoria Berlin. They had to admit defeat with 1:2, which further diminished Rostock's hopes of making it into the League A main round of the DFB youth league. An own goal from captain Robin Falk in the 17th minute gave the hosts the lead. Although Georg Grabow was able to equalize in the 68th minute, Viktoria's winning goal came in the 79th minute.
And the misery continued: The U17 lost significantly against 1. FC Union Berlin 0-2 and finished the preliminary round of the DFB youth league with zero points. In a game that remained goalless at halftime, Union finally scored twice in the second half and once again left Rostock without a point.
Positive news for the younger ones
The next meeting for the U23s is scheduled for December 5, 2025, when FC Anker Wismar will be welcomed to the stadium. Kick-off takes place at 7:00 p.m. Maybe then the spell can finally be broken and the first win of the season can be achieved. Hansa Rostock is challenged in the Oberliga Nord, and the team would be well advised to keep a good hand in the next game.
