Wismar high school graduate starts Head Spa for her dream trip to New Zealand!
Anna Rumprecht, a motivated high school graduate from the Zwilling-Scholl-Gymnasium in Wismar, has decided to realize her dream of a four-month trip to New Zealand herself. In order to fulfill this wish, she not only successfully completed a seminar on an emerging wellness trend from Japan, but also actively worked in her mother's cosmetics institute. Susann Rumprecht, a state-certified beautician and business economist, has invested in her institute in the Altstadt-Haus on the market square and set up a new treatment room for the “Head Spa”. This special type of relaxation, which combines massages, steam and acupressure, is enjoying growing popularity and is in line with current wellness trends that are moving away from traditional offerings towards holistic health concepts, such as Focus describes.
The newly furnished room was designed by Anna herself and includes a lounger with a water arch and special care products. She treated her first customers with family and friends, while she is now preparing to gain further experience in the cosmetic institute. Her mother plans to take over the management of the new treatment program while Anna is away, so that everything can continue smoothly when the daughter leaves for New Zealand, south of the equator.
Current wellness trends
With Anna's entry into the wellness sector, it becomes clear how the industry is becoming more and more diverse and new trends are establishing themselves. Trendy treatments such as “Longevity” are aimed at a healthy and long life. Methods such as anti-stress coaching and detox treatments are used, which appeal to more and more people, especially younger generations and older clientele, as the Future Institute also makes clear in its analysis. Wellness hotels already offer tailor-made programs that last at least a week to achieve lasting results, according to Spaness.
Anna decided to initially work in the family business for six months before studying health psychology and medical education in Hamburg. She sees her commitment to preventing burnout and healthy eating as important pillars of her future career. Susann Rumprecht, who founded her cosmetics institute in 2021 and was also a former employee at the Wismar shipyard, is proud of her daughter's initiative and the development of her business, which supports the growing popularity of holistic health. At the same time, this reflects the increasing need for professionals who offer innovative approaches to health, as shown by rising prices in the industry, where established wellness hotels have become up to 20% more expensive in the last year.
Creating a space for this new wellness trend is not only a smart move, but also a sign that trends such as biohacking, AI-powered wellness experiences and nature-based offerings are becoming increasingly important in the industry. It becomes clear here: Anyone who deals with the current development of the wellness industry could have their finger on the pulse of the times. Anna Rumprecht has shown a good hand - both through her choice of activities and the support of her mother, who supports her daughter on this path by investing in the cosmetics institute.
