Serious accident on Usedom: 70-year-old and granddaughter fight for recovery

On Saturday morning, July 19, a serious traffic accident occurred on the B110 near the Zecerkerer Brücke on the island of Usedom. At around 7:20 a.m., a 70-year-old Mercedes driver came off the road for unexplained reasons. The car drove into the ditch, overturned and stayed on the roof. In addition to the driver, his 14-year-old granddaughter was also on board. Both were seriously injured in the incident, but according to initial information there is no danger to life. The emergency services brought them to the clinic in Greifswald, where they are medical care.
