However, there is a positive outlook for the coming school year 2024/2025: Eligible students will receive a collective student season ticket as a Germany ticket. This ensures that young passengers are fully mobile even outside of the holidays. This agreement was reached between several cities, including Braunschweig, Salzgitter and Wolfsburg, as well as the districts of Gifhorn, Goslar and Helmstedt. The ticket is issued as a chip card and allows use on local public transport around the clock, including weekends and public holidays - with the exception of the summer holidays, of course. New student and trainee ticket in focus
Speaking of mobility – Lower Saxony has also introduced a new regional student and trainee ticket, which is intended for school students, trainees and those doing voluntary service.
