Fire in Celle: Fire brigade solves kitchen fire quickly and safely!
On the evening of August 10, 2025, the Celle fire department was alerted at 9:19 p.m. The reason for the operation was a fire in the kitchen of a commercially used single-family home on Wittinger Strasse. Fortunately, no people were in danger at the time, which gave the emergency services a certain amount of leeway to act in a targeted and efficient manner. The fire department responded with several local fire departments, including Altenhagen, Altencelle, Bostel and the Celle main station, and was also supported by emergency services and the police.
The emergency services went into the affected building with breathing apparatus and extinguished the fire with a C-pipe. After successfully extinguishing the fire, they carried out extensive extinguishing work and ventilation measures. Interestingly, the fire department was unable to provide any information about the cause of the fire at the time of the report. Such incidents are not uncommon, and the incident commanders know that it often takes days or even weeks to clarify the exact circumstances of such operations.
A look back
More than 40 firefighters from the Celle-Hauptwache local fire department with nine vehicles were deployed during this major operation. They received support from several organizations, including the police and the emergency services of the Celle district. During this fire, 15 people had to be cared for because a mass casualty request (MANV) was triggered. Two people were taken to hospital, making the operation even more urgent.
