Delmenhorst Theater Summer 2024: More drama, more fun!
Summer in Delmenhorst will once again be a scene of lively culture! The Delmödiants, consisting of Johannes Mittag, Marcel Krohn and Marie-Theres Schwinn, invite you to the second Delmenhorst Theater Summer in July 2024. After the overwhelming success of the first festival in 2022, they are returning with a varied program that will take place in the picturesque setting in front of the town church. The theater summer begins on July 12th and runs until July 27th, 2024, on the green area right next to the town church.
The premiere of the play “Goethe and the Women” will take place on July 12th at 8 p.m. and promises to delight viewers with fascinating insights into the life of the great poet. The following day, July 13th, “The Imaginary Sick” will be performed at 6 p.m. This play, an amusing adaptation of Molière's classic work in the 1970s Delmenhorst setting, is presented with a colorful ensemble including Marcel Krohn, Ramona Krohn, Emily Zoe Seidel, Kevin Citozi and Sabine von Rothkirch.
A colorful program for every taste
The program offers much more: On July 19th at 8 p.m. there will be the premiere of the “Scary Stories,” followed by “Midsummer Night's Mishmash” on July 20th at 3 p.m., a humorous, musical-theatrical evening, which will also be repeated on July 27th at 3 p.m. Prices for the performances are affordable, starting at 15 euros for the “Scary Stories” and going up to 20 euros for “The Imaginary Sick”. Tickets are available in the Jünemann bookstore and at the box office, which opens 30 minutes before the start of the performance.
Anyone looking for further cultural highlights can also look forward to the Bad Hersfeld Festival 2025, which will take place in Hesse from June 20th to August 18th. Renowned pieces such as “Midsummer Night’s Dreams” and a musical “A Chorus Line” are on the program here. Another exciting event is the PLUG&PAY theater festival for young directors in Mainz, which starts at the end of May 2025 and introduces new talent.
