Mathematics to touch: Experience exhibition inspires the schools!
The hiking exhibition "Mathematics to touch" is currently thrilled in the northwestern German Museum of Industrial Culture, more precisely in the needle setting. By Sunday, June 29th, school classes of the three to eight have the opportunity to playfully deal with mathematics. This extraordinary initiative is very well received by schools in the region, such as Delmenhorst
The exhibition includes impressive 30 interactive experiments that aim to bring young visitors closer to the joy of the natural sciences. The project is supported by personalities such as Carsten Jöhnk, the museum director, and other sponsors of the Delmenhorster University Society and the Lions Club Delmenhorst-Burggraf.
Invitation to families and groups
Last opportunity for families and groups to visit the exhibition without prior registration is Sunday, June 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entry is two euros and also includes the permanent exhibition in the Northwool Museum. If you are interested, you can also register on the phone number (04221) 99-1697.
The goal of the hiking exhibition is clear: to give the students playful access to mathematics. Not only is theoretical knowledge conveyed, but also value on action, concentration, action, thinking and of course also placed on a lot of pleasure.
Mathematics experience playfully
The experiments on display are designed so that they make you curious and encourage you to participate. So the little Knoblers can try out various math experiments themselves. In addition, the mini mathematics is offered, a hands-on exhibition especially for the smallest visitors between the ages of 3 and 8. Here the children have the opportunity to playfully discover numbers, shapes and patterns by assembling a ball pyramid or arranging colorful squares on a puzzle table.
A highlight is the mirror house in which children can look at from all sides. It is demonstrated in the exhibition that the direct path is not always the fastest, and numerous other mathematical experiments that are specially tailored to this age group are available to the small explorers.
Finally,A look beyond the borders of the exhibition is also worthwhile: The mathematics in Gießen spends the entire family with over 170 experiments, from huge soap bubbles to the construction of a Leonardo bridge. For a few hours full of fun and learning, it is an excellent point of contact for families. There the mini mathematics is all about the little ones under 8 years, while the older children and adults also get their money's worth. Rheinmain4famAILY particularly emphasizes that the exhibition is open every day of the year and offers numerous facilities such as changing tables and a family-friendly cafeteria.
A visit to the hiking exhibition in Delmenhorst or a detour to Gießen are ideal opportunities to playfully deal with the world of mathematics and have a lot of fun!
