Shortly before the final whistle, the SCW even had the chance to score the winning goal, but Paul Grothoff only hit the aluminum. After the final whistle, the mood was tense - Claassen spoke of a “weird” atmosphere and both coaches agreed: there was no joy after this thrilling game. However, Fröchtenicht praised his team's performance and saw the game as positive overall.
