New schedule: This is how things continue for the 2nd district class 2025/26!

In the coming season, the 2nd district class in northern Germany will be restructured. As goekick.com reports, from the 2025/26 season there will only be two seasons: the 2nd district class north and the 2nd district class south, each with 14 teams. This restructuring promises to breathe new life into amateur football in the region.

The teams in the 2nd District Class North are a colorful mix of established teams and fresh faces. These include SC Harz, Tor II and SG Wulften/Lindau II. The rise of NK Croatia Göttingen and SV Sieboldshausen, who will make their debut next season, is particularly exciting. Another newcomer is TSV Nesselröden II, who wants to attract fans with new enthusiasm.

The 2nd district class south in view

In the 2nd district class south, equally exciting encounters await the spectators. SG Westdörfer and SG Herberhausen/Waake/Roringen will take on the challenge. SC Rosdorf II and CW Göttingen III also have big plans. The newcomers, including SG West Göttingen and SC HarzTor III, hope to quickly gain a foothold and establish themselves in the new league.

The season starts with a lot of anticipation, and the first half has already shown that numerous teams are competing for the best places. In another region, according to fussballn.de, TV Dietenhofen and SG Neuhof/Trautskirchen are currently emerging as favorites for promotion. Both teams have put together remarkable series that could be crowned during the winter break.

Statistics and promotion opportunities

In this context, the top position of Laurenz Maneth (TSV Markt Erlbach) also stands out, who is at the top of the top scorer rankings with 12 goals. It's an impressive achievement that won't go unnoticed while other players such as Erkan Ali and Johannes Gehring, who both scored 11 goals, lie in wait. It remains exciting to see who has the best goal difference, as Burggrafenhof conceded the fewest goals (18), while FC Oberndorf is struggling with a high 52 goals conceded.

Fairness also has its place in the league. Only five red cards have been issued so far, with TSV Langenzenn not only leading in the number of yellow cards, but also at the top in the fair play ranking. Six clubs can look forward to an impressive average attendance in the three-digit range, with SV Neuhof/Zenn and SC Trautskirchen particularly standing out with 155 spectators per home game each.

Overall, the new 2nd district class promises an exciting season with many exciting games and surprises. It remains to be seen whether the newcomers will be able to assert themselves against the experienced teams and how the favorites will fare in the fight for the best places.
