Christmas market fun: Fresh trees and help for lonely people in Göttingen!

Christmas is just around the corner and with it the festive mood is returning to Bovenden. Sold at the Bodenburg farm Robert Fisse freshly cut Christmas trees that not only create a contemplative atmosphere, but also support a good cause. For every tree sold, one euro goes to the Tageblatt Christmas charity “Nobody should be lonely”. In this way, Fisse ensures that no one is left alone during this special time.

The managing director runs the Christmas tree business during the contemplative period while working as a real estate professional the rest of the year. The main sales location is at the Bodenburg farm, but the festive trees are also sold at other locations, including the Edeka Möwes in Bovenden, the St. Albani Church in Göttingen and the Rosdorf outdoor swimming pool.

Sustainable tree care with Shropshire sheep

A very special highlight at Fisse are the Shropshire sheep, which ensure natural weed control in tree crops. These charming animals not only contribute to the care of the cultivated soil, but also improve the quality of the soil and protect the environment. By the way: They enjoy grass and herbs and leave the young conifers alone - a real benefit for Christmas tree crops.

Sustainability is a top priority when selecting trees. The Christmas trees thrive without chemicals, noise or stress and represent a harmonious coexistence between nature and people. Every buyer who purchases a tree also has the opportunity to support the planting of a new tree by making a donation: The “An agroforestry tree for every Christmas tree” campaign promotes biodiversity and climate protection. With different donation amounts, buyers can choose environmentally conscious alternatives to maintain ecological balance.

Festive sales promotion

The stalls look festive, decorated with wood chips and fairy lights. There is also mulled wine and bratwurst, which further enhances the pre-Christmas mood. The stands will be open from Tuesday, December 9th, daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and also on weekends. On Christmas Eve, the Fisse team will be available from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. to provide one last opportunity for a tree sale.

If you are still on the hunt for the perfect Christmas tree, you will definitely find it here. On December 13th, the winners of a lottery can pick up their trees and crown their pre-Christmas preparations.

You can also make a direct donation to the “Nobody should be lonely” campaign via Sparkasse Göttingen and Sparkasse Duderstadt. There are also simple tips for tree care: freshly sanding the tree and adding glycol to the water ensure that the tree stays fresher for longer.

Overall, the Christmas tree sales locations in and around Göttingen show that contemplation and well-being can go hand in hand in the hectic run-up to Christmas. A visit to Hof Bodenburg is also worthwhile for anyone who wants to look forward to their Christmas season with a clear conscience.
