Modurazell accuses the city of not having the necessary conditions for crane work. New tender and competition process

The city has now published a new tender for the container facility. “Completion should take place by the end of the Easter holidays in 2026,” reports the responsible administration. Offers for this project can be submitted until November 18, 2025. Modurazell GmbH successfully bid in the previous tender and secured the contract worth 154,000 euros, which was concluded on May 28, 2025. The new tender includes the installation of a container system with two classrooms and a hallway with a technical room for the Pestalozzi School. This will create space for teaching, which is currently at risk due to the problems with the construction site. While the city sees Modurazell's list of defects as the main reason for the delays, Modurazell clearly sees the responsibility for permits and installation areas as the city's. “It is clear that the city has repeatedly signaled the freedom to build,” said a city spokesman, who also addressed the shortcomings of Modurazell.
