Hannover 96 wins furiously 3-0 against KSC – Titz is thrilled with the team performance!

An exciting football afternoon for the fans of Hannover 96! Today, November 28, 2025, your team defeated Karlsruher SC with a clear 3-0 and thus temporarily established itself in third place in the 2nd Bundesliga. The game took place in the home arena, where the atmosphere was unusually charged with pyrotechnics despite fan protests. The protest, which lasted for twelve minutes, caused the spectator colors to glow red and showed that there was also a lot to discuss outside of the game.

Coach Christian Titz, who took over the reins at Hannover 96 on June 15, 2025, was visibly pleased with his players' performance after the game. Titz, who previously attracted attention with 1. FC Magdeburg, led his team to a deserved victory in this game and praised the effectiveness of his substitutes. Husseyn Chakroun, Benedikt Pichler and Mustapha Bundu ensured the score was clear with their goals in the 68th, 70th and 77th minutes. The first two goals in particular came shortly after the substitutions, which shows that the coach had a good hand in selecting substitutes.

The game in detail

Hannover 96 wasn't quite on track at first and missed a few clear chances, but the team didn't give up. KSC keeper Hans Christian Bernat showed a strong performance and fended off several shots, including some top-class chances for Lower Saxony. But Hannover's pressure ultimately became overwhelming: Chakroun scored the first goal, followed by Pichler and finally Bundu, who made the final score 3-0.

The lineups of the two teams offered exciting duels. Hannover relied on a compact defense with Noll in goal and a solid line around Ghita, Tomiak and Nawrocki. Karlsruher SC, under coach Christian Eichner, put up an equally strong defense with Bernat in goal, but was unable to break through the hosts' growing dominance.

A look into the future

Aside from football, visitors to Hanover were also able to look ahead to major upcoming events. HANNOVER MESSE 2026, which will take place from April 20th to 24th, promises to be another highlight. With over 4,000 international exhibitors and around 130,000 expected trade visitors, the exhibition center will become a platform for innovations in the industry. The main theme “Industrial Transformation” will focus on topics such as artificial intelligence and sustainable energy solutions. The opening will take place on April 19th in the Hannover Congress Center and is likely to attract just as much attention as today's game on the pitch.

So both the victory in the stadium and the anticipation of the trade fair go hand in hand and make it clear that there is a lot going on in Hanover. The city shows that it is ready for exciting developments, both in football and in the areas of technology and innovation.
