Prokop, who has been leading the training of the “Recken” since 2021, has led the team to consistent performance in recent years. Under his aegis, the team reached the top of the Bundesliga table three times in a row and fought for the title until the second half of last season. But the current season is mixed: TSV is only in 11th place after 13 league games and had to admit defeat in the cup against Bergischer HC.
A realignment of the club
The sporting director Sven-Sören Christophersen explained that a realignment is being sought in order to redefine the club's sporting ambitions. This decision was made after intensive, lengthy discussions that are intended to set the course for the future. “We discovered in the discussions that a change makes sense for both sides,” says Christophersen.
Christian Prokop himself looks back on his time in Hanover with pride.
