Art up close: Annual exhibition Perspectives in Salder Castle!
Today, November 16, 2025, the annual exhibition of the Salzgitter Group opens under the exciting title “Views” on the upper floor of the Municipal Art Collections at Salder Castle. This event promises a colorful mix of art and creativity, presented by eleven talented artists from the salzgitter group as well as two guest artists. The participants include Gerd Druwe, Michael Ewen, Gunther Fritz and many more. All of them have a biographical connection to Salzgitter and show a wide range of artistic expressions.
The works presented are a fascinating mix of photographic accuracy and vivid abstraction. Thematic focuses include landscapes, everyday objects and the visibility of memories, coincidence and human figures. In total, visitors can admire 64 artistic works from painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture and installation. The exhibition enriches the cultural life in Salzgitter and shows the skills of local artists, as [Salzgitter.de](https://www.salzgitter.de/ Veranstaltungskalender/extern/jahrprüfung-salzgitter-gruppe.php?sp%3AstartDateKey=2025-11-16) reports.
Sun Bull in search of visibility
Another creative mind who lives in Salzgitter is the pop art artist Sun Bull. He has made a name for himself in his career, although he is less well known in his hometown than in other metropolises where he has already successfully exhibited. His previous stop points include cities such as Düsseldorf, Nuremberg and even Vienna. Despite his impressive experiences, he is urgently looking for new studio space in Salzgitter as his last studio space has been sold. The desire for a room of around 60 to 70 square meters that is at ground level and accessible by car is becoming increasingly urgent, as News38.de reports.
In the last decade, Sun Bull has sold just two paintings in his hometown, while he has had much more success elsewhere. In order to attract more attention in Salzgitter, he is planning art events and exhibitions. He recently held a spontaneous exhibition in the snow, which attracted many people. His mobile studio, a VW van, is a creative symbol of his versatility. Nevertheless, the corona pandemic took a toll on him and many other artists, as personal contact was largely restricted, which was very depressing for him.
A look into the future
To make Sun Bull and other creatives more visible in the region, they are increasingly relying on social media such as Instagram and YouTube. These platforms offer new ways to stay connected with audiences and express yourself artfully. There is great hope that these efforts will pay off and cultural life in Salzgitter will continue to flourish.
The exhibition “Viewpoints” is a further step in this direction. The mix of local talent and the growing desire for more visibility underlines the dynamic art scene in Salzgitter. Visitors are warmly invited to discover the diversity and get to know the artists personally.
