There is great anticipation at the Wilhelmshaven naval base, where the Open days take place. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., visitors have the opportunity to experience the naval port and the ships of operational flotilla 2 up close. These events not only offer a look behind the scenes of the Navy, but also the opportunity to talk to soldiers and find out more about everyday life on board and life at sea.
The big attraction will be the frigate “Bayern”, which can be visited. Guests can also get to know the modern civilian-operated tugboats and the naval aviators from Nordholz. The day offers much more: Parents can bring their children and try out the various offers that extend across the entire area without any worries.
