Elpermann is out until the winter break – SC Spelle-Venhaus is in trouble!
Shock for SC Spelle-Venhaus: defender Jan-Hubert Elpermann will be out until the winter break. The 32-year-old is suffering from persistent ankle problems that he suffered in the friendly against VfL Lohne. Despite this pain, Elpermann fought bravely in the following matches against Lüneburg, Delmenhorst and Bersenbrück and tried to help his team. However, he had to leave the field in the final phase of the last game against Germania Egestorf/Langreder, which caused the concern of coach Henry Hupe. But that's not the only bad news for Elpermann. The Lower Saxony Football Association suspended him for one game after he received a red card in the 22nd minute of the game against Lupo Martini Wolfsburg. Referee Alexander Rosenhagen decided that Elpermann was holding on to his opponent Elia Cirrone's jersey. This decision not only led to a penalty, which was missed by Wolfsburg, but also to an early end for Elpermann in the game, which ended 2-2. He already served his ban last Friday in the game against BSV Rehden, where the team also achieved a draw.
Fortunately, coach Hupe Elpermann can play again on Saturday against newly promoted Lüneburg, which will provide a breath of fresh air in the team. However, Jost Krone will miss the next game as he received a yellow-red card in stoppage time against Rehden.
