A wonderful summer is just around the corner, and Wilhelmshaven has a very special highlight in store for everyone interested: the coveted tower tours up the town hall tower, which begin on July 5, 2025. This city landmark can be visited for a fee every third Thursday of the month between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Here you have the opportunity to marvel at the city from a height of 49 meters and get an incomparable view over the picturesque Wilhelmshaven.
The trips take place every 20 minutes in small groups, which are conveniently transported up by elevator. It is important to note that access to the viewing platform is only possible via stairs and is not barrier-free. Visitors must complete this last part of the path independently. But this little adventure shouldn't stop you from enjoying the impressive views! Timed tickets for the tower rides must be purchased in advance to ensure everyone has enough time.
Tickets and access
The meeting point for the tour is at the side entrance to the right of the large staircase at the main portal of the town hall tower. Entrance fees are 5 euros, while children up to 12 years only pay 2.50 euros. Tickets can be purchased not only at various ticket offices such as the Tourist Information Office at Ebertstrasse 110 or the Kusch Travel Agency at Posener Strasse 56, but also online at reservix.de. However, additional service fees may apply, so just keep an eye on the details!

The tower ride is only part of what Wilhelmshaven has to offer. The promenade on the south beach invites you to unwind and watch the sea. Here you can enjoy miles-long walks and treat yourself to refreshing drinks or delicious cocktails in one of the numerous cafés.
