Rea Garvey inspires 8,000 fans at the summer festival in Wolfsburg!

On Friday evening, the Wolfsburg Autostadt was the place where over 8,000 music fans gathered to celebrate the summer festival with Rea Garvey. Roland Kalweit, the creative mind behind the event, opened the concert series at 7:55 p.m. by announcing 34 concerts with artists from four continents. He also had practical advice for the younger audience: He recommended that “children under 35” wear hearing protection to fully enjoy the music.

Rea Garvey, who was born in Tralee, Ireland on May 3, 1973, opened the concert with his stirring song “Free like the Ocean.” The audience experienced a musical journey, the artist played hits such as “Enough is Enough”, “Kiss Me” and “Beautiful Life”, among others. Garvey passionately interacted with his audience, encouraging sing-alongs and sharing personal stories to create a special connection.

A musical fireworks display

The atmosphere was great as Garvey took the audience on a journey to his native Ireland and sang “Somewhere Close To Heaven”. On this occasion, he even let fans come on stage to sing along with him, which made the evening unforgettable. Other highlights included hits like “Tonight,” “Halo,” “New Day Tomorrow,” “Can’t Say No” and “Oh My Love.”

The evening ended with a spectacular finale: confetti bombs flew through the air and Garvey insisted on playing an encore, including his classics “Supergirl” and “Can’t Stand The Silence”. His musical repertoire spans more than two decades, highlighting the diversity of his career, which also includes eleven Top 5 albums.

Rea Garvey – a musical legend

The Irish pop and rock star has had an impressive career since emigrating to Germany in 1998. He previously worked as a T-shirt salesman and roadie at music festivals before founding the band Reamonn in 1999, which became famous with the hit “Supergirl”. Garvey has sold over 20 million albums and has a billion streams, which impressively proves his popularity. With his latest album “HALO” he wants to share knowledge, happiness and hope with his fans.

As a coach on “The Voice of Germany” and “The Masked Singer”, Garvey has gained additional fame and established himself in the German media landscape. His concerts, like the one currently taking place in Wolfsburg, are known for being deeply touching not only musically but also emotionally.

Fans can look forward to more surprises and special performances during this summer festival. If you couldn't be there on Friday, you should keep your eyes open for the next events in the Autostadt - because as Rea Garvey impressively demonstrated, music is a language that connects everyone and fills everyone with hope and joy.
