VfL Wolfsburg is committed: 4,100 euros collected for the animal shelter!

On November 28, 2025, VfL Wolfsburg once again presented interesting news as part of its regular “Wolfs tracks”. This section offers an insight into the current events surrounding the club, and this time the focus was not only on sporting issues, but also on the fans' social commitment. Particularly noteworthy is the Coesione Ultras' impressive fundraising campaign for the Wolfsburg animal shelter, which was carried out at the home game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen. A total of 3,880 euros was raised, which was topped up, resulting in an impressive sum of 4,100 euros for the care and medical care of the animals in the animal shelter.

In the Wölferadio podcast, which was commented on live from B'moovd, there were exciting analyzes of the situation at VfL from the fans' perspective. A very special guest, Aaron Zehnter, was invited to the 16th edition of the “Behind the Back Number” format. Zehnter, who was born on October 31, 2004, not only brings talent as a left-back, but also shared personal insights and his musical preferences in the podcast. His path initially took him through several youth clubs such as Würzburger FV and FC Augsburg to his current contract, which he signed with VfL on July 1, 2025 and which runs until 2030.

A look at youth development

But it's not just the professionals who are the focus of the Wolves, youth development is also very important. In September 2023, VfL Wolfsburg started the “VfL Powerdays” project, which is supported by AOK Niedersachsen. The aim of this project is to activate up to 3,000 children and young people per season and to provide them with high-quality football opportunities. At these events, up to 120 participants from various VfL partner clubs can come together to exercise together and experience the joy of football. This is not only an opportunity to get active in sports, but also to promote social participation and strengthen the sense of community, which is particularly important these days.

The VfL academy teams of the U19 and U17 play their games in the AOK Stadium, while other teams hunt for points along the way. This shows that the different levels of the club are closely linked and pursue the common goal of having a positive influence both on and off the pitch.

Club life at VfL Wolfsburg is lively and diverse, as demonstrated by the successes in the youth sector and the social initiatives. The next few months promise exciting games and great promotions for the fans and the region.

How the wolves continue to shape this path and what challenges still lie ahead will certainly remain a central topic in the coming editions of “Wolfs tracks”. Stay tuned and support your team!
