August 24, 2025 will go down in the history books as an important day for Holstein Kiel. The club signed the Slovakian U21 international Adrian Kapralik known who is moving from MSK Žilina to the Holstein Arena. Kapralik has signed a contract until June 30, 2029 and is preferred to be used in various positions in the offensive game.
Kapralik, 23 years old, is considered a true talent. Sports director Olaf Rebbe raves about his speed, finishing skills and remarkable variability. Last season, the offensive player scored a total of six goals in 15 games and prepared another four goals. He went through all of Slovakia's youth teams and most recently made 36 appearances for the U21 national team, including at the U21 European Championships, which took place in Slovakia, but ended for his team after the group stage.
A look at the numbers
Kapralik has already had some success. He was trained by MŠK Žilina in the youth ranks and moved to the professional squad in 2020. During his time there he played over 140 games. In the 2023/24 season he also spent a year on loan with Górnik Zabrze in the Polish Ekstraklasa.
With two defeats and just one goal at the start of the season, Kiel is under pressure and Kapralik will certainly play a key role in revitalizing the team's attacking game. The change of club is also an opportunity for Kapralik to quickly integrate into the team and contribute to Holstein Kiel's success. He himself spoke positively about the club and its ambitions.
