Day clubbing in Hamburg: day celebrations with Katja Ruge on the roof terrace!
There's something happening in the party scene in Hamburg - and not just at night! Led by the Hamburg music photographer and DJ Katja Ruge, the weekend weekends in the Hanseatic city are currently being reorganized. With her “Daytime Clubbing” party series, Ruge brings the joy of partying back into the daylight. Through its focus on supporting people who want to party during the day for work or family reasons, it creates a relaxed atmosphere that revolutionizes traditional club parties. NDR reports on their intentions to emphasize the advantages of celebrating during the day - less exhaustion and easier integration into everyday life.
The first event will take place in Hamburg-Altona on the sixth floor of a building with an inviting roof terrace. This architectural highlight not only offers a magnificent view, but also a colorful, inviting design that immediately puts you in a good mood. Ruge, who has been photographing for the Golden Pudel Club since the 90s, has experienced Hamburg's club culture first hand and wants to celebrate togetherness on the dance floor with her new idea.
A creative line-up
The kick-off event entitled “DAYS AT KOLORADO” is organized by Katja Ruge together with DJ Dreams and Hufnagel and takes place in Kolorado at Holstenplatz 20. DJ Dreams, the head of Zissou Records, and Hufnagel, the creative mind behind the concept store “Wasted Hour” and resident at Sicnal Radio, bring a genre-open music program with sounds from cosmic disco to deep house and dub. Each of the DJs brings their own style, creating a varied sound experience. Ruge himself surprises the audience with a selection of nostalgic sounds, such as Italo Disco and electronic 80s sounds, which take the listener on a musical journey through time.
A look at the “Good Planets” event format, which offers creative mixes, live streams and club nights outside the mainstream, shows that there is room for experiments and new ideas. However, it is important to note that the event is unfortunately not barrier-free. Those interested can find further information in the event announcements, which should always be kept up to date, even if they are not updated automatically.
The club scene in Hamburg
Hamburg doesn't just have a lot to offer during the day. The city is known for its exciting nightlife with a variety of clubs. An overview from Secret Hamburg shows the scene's highly frequented shops and insider tips, ranging from extravagant parties at GAGA to electronic sounds at Halo. From the legendary locations like the mojo club, which is famous for its jazz and soul concerts, to the small electronic club Baalsaal, which impresses with a high-quality sound system, a lot is being done outside of Katja Ruge to keep the electronic music scene alive.
On a timeline of Hamburg's club culture, the movement moves from night to light and shows how important it is to create joy and interaction during the day too. The Hamburg Club Week draws attention to the challenges facing the live and club landscape and offers space for new creative formats, such as daytime clubbing. Katja Ruge hopes that with her concept she can bring together a broader community that unites different age groups and strengthens cohesion on the dance floor.
Whether nocturnal or daytime addict – there is something for every preference in Hamburg. And with Katja Ruge's new ideas, celebrating in the city will certainly be even more exciting!
