First dramateurs festival on Usedom: Theater magic for everyone!

A new theater adventure is imminent: The amateur theater festival "Dramateurs" takes place for the first time on the picturesque island of Usedom. Under the colorful tent of Chapeau Rouge in Heringsdorf, actresses from Germany and Poland meet from July 3 to July 6th to stimulate the stage together and to enchant the audience. The Vorpommersche Landesbühne launched this exciting event and emphasizes the art and cultural dialogue between the two countries. According to Nordkurier , the goal of the festival is to connect actors and viewers of all ages-from 6 to 86 years.

The opening piece "Krach in the House of God", presented by the Barther Amateur ensemble, sets the first accent and will be performed on July 3 at 6 p.m. The following day, the visitors can expect the "grandchildren's trick-revue" of "Die Wauten" at 10.15 a.m. and at 6 p.m. the play from the theater group "U100" follows under the motto "Life works-but it doesn't always work!". On July 5th it will be internationally when the ten! Teatr from Warsaw appears with "Sztuka o czyms". The crowning glory finally forms on July 6th at 10.15 a.m.

spontaneous appearances and other events

A special Highlight will be available from July 4: The "Open Stage" invites artists to freely unfold, and without any entry costs! This not only promotes creativity, but also strengthens the sense of community among the participants and visitors. In addition to the performances of the festival, the Vorpommersche Landesbühne is also planning further events. On July 10th and August 7th, guests can expect a concert by the Logos women's choir from Swinemünde, accompanied by pianist Olga Shkrygunova. And in summer there are also exciting dance theater and pop music that will present the ensemble ego VU on July 30th and 21 August.

The entire cultural program is part of the international theater network viaa , which was founded in 2017 and is dedicated to the task of combining people across national borders. Another major aspect of this Initiative are the upcoming German-Polish cultural days in October 2024, which will also come up with an exciting program. The offer ranges from theater performances to ballet to intercultural encounters and is funded by the support of the European Union.

The Vorpommersche Landesbühne is not only an important part of the festival, but also a central player in promoting the exchange between German and Polish cultures. Despite the challenges that the organization of such events brings, it turns out that common cultural experiences extend far beyond linguistic barriers. What could be more inspiring than celebrating the diversity and creative talents of both countries? Take a look at the occasion and experience this happy mix of theater, fun and community!
